BPI Outdoors / CVA is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by the NASGW (National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers) and POMA (Professional Outdoor Media Association) with their NASGW-POMA Caliber Award for “Best New Overall Product” with the CVA Paramount Long Range Muzzleloader. The award was presented at the annual NASGW Appreciation Dinner that started the Expo each year. This year’s event was held in Orlando, FL.

Kevin Orthman – Executive Director for POMA said, “It is always astounding that CVA is able to bring continuous innovation to a product that had existed for centuries. Their work is consistently changing the landscape of the firearms industry and the dedication of this organization is more than deserving of the Caliber Award for Best Overall New Product.”

Jason Sebo, CVA’s VP of Sales & Marketing stated, “Thank you so much to NASGW, POMA, and all of our distributors for the recognition and selecting the CVA Paramount for the Overall Best New Product for 2020. For two years, a lot of time and energy went into the development of the Paramount. It has been phenomenal to see the success the rifle has had in its first year. Thank you again for all the support as we continue to strive to keep producing great products.”

About the CVA Paramount Long Range Muzzleloader

The PARAMOUNT is CVA’s newest addition to its muzzleloading rifle family. Unlike any other CVA rifle, this bolt-action gun was developed and designed to handle “super magnum” propellant charges – meaning: in excess of a 150 grain by volume equivalent of black powder, and thus, provides the higher velocities necessary for harvesting animals effectively at 300 yards and beyond. Of course, 2200 FPS plus velocities are worth nothing without the accuracy to put those shots where they belong, and for this, like all premium CVA’s, the PARAMOUNT features a custom quality .45 caliber free floating Bergara® barrel in Nitride treated 416 grade stainless steel. Paired with PowerBelt’s new ELR bullets, which were specially designed for the PARAMOUNT; this barrel can produce incredibly tight groups at ranges previously thought unreachable for a muzzleloader. This muzzleloader does NOT require a 4473 form to be purchased.

Also, standard with the PARAMOUNT is CVA’s VariFlame® Breech Plug. The VariFlame®, designed by Cecil Epps, uses the hotter and more consistent Large Rifle Primer rather than the 209 Shot Shell Primer, and is specifically designed for use with magnum powder muzzleloading propellant. For maximum comfort and stability, the Paramount stock supports the barrel upon an internal aluminum chassis and offers full ergonomic adjustability of both length of pull and comb height. For quick in-the-field reloading, a self-deploying compact ramrod and belt case is included, along with a one-piece range and cleaning rod.
